Beckett Woller

Beckett is eating more and more solid foods. He is also getting more practice feeding himself. He likes pasta, tortellini, ravioli, and potstickers. He LOVES peaches and plums. Mommy cuts up big pieces of fruit for him to munch and suck on. This picture is after a nice dinner of mushroom tortellini. His system is to first dump everything out of the bowl onto the tray, smear it around, then put food in his mouth. After eating some pasta the other day, he ended the meal by putting the bowl on his head! Such fun, too bad we don't have a maid, just mommy.

Beckett is growing and perfectly healthy.

We went to the beach last Sunday and it was Beckett's very first time in sand and the water, Oh My! He loved the sand...play, play, play. He didn't know what to do with the waves crashing around his ankles. He looked kind of scared but more confused. It was an overcast day but real nice. We went to Jalama, a county park where there is camping also.

Today for Father's Day we went to the beach again. This time we just went to Surf Beach down the road from Lompoc. It was too windy and overcast so we only stayed about 45 min.

I'm excited Beckett likes the sand. He even tried to eat some today. He is still freaked out by grass. goes all crouching tiger hidden dragon on one foot to not have to feel it...

We were sorry we did not get to the Skatopia 08 reunion in our neck of the woods but we were able to hook up with Brian who came all of the way out from South Carolina.

What better way than to be in a nice nurturing environment of friends, sun and good food!?

We went to Bill's house down in Carlsbad for Memorial Day. It was an awesome day.

The second tooth is starting to come in. We can feel it. Beckett is going nuts at night. Yes, more than usual.

We went, for the first time, to get Beckett acquainted with water in a big way. We'll be going to the new Lompoc Aquatic Center twice a week for the month of May to splash around.

He didn't really like to be passed around to the instructors. Nor did he like to get dunked which I got into the pool with him and Brandi. Quite an experience for him. There is video but it'll take me a few days to get it up...

Beckett is busting through his first tooth.

Beckett always loves to stand up. He's been sort of diving at things from a sitting position for a long time. Then came the flop-dive to get at something just out of reach. I've walked him, holding his hands, across the dining room area.

Well, today he has sort of monkey-walk, crawled a decent distance of about 5 feet. All on his own locomotion.

Right now he is standing up against one of his toy chests, which he pulled himself up to thank-you-very-much!
